FAMILY / ICE CREAM SUNSET CRUISE

(Monday to Saturday inclusive, approx. 1 ½ hours in duration)

Come one, come all and bring the kids too! Meander down to Port Sandfield via Lake Rosseau and take in such historical places as the former site of Woodington House and the Port Sandfield Bridge itself as you stop in the small hamlet of Port Sandfield. There you will enjoy an ice cream cone, on us, with your family and fellow guests before heading back up the lake, taking in the spectacular sunset on your cruise back home. The route of the evening will vary, as it is the captain’s choice as to where you will best see the glory of the setting sun.

(Note: Until June 30th the Ice-cream is picked up at Frac’s Snack Shack at the Clevelands House Main Dock!)

FOUR-MILE POINT CRUISE

(Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 10:00 a.m., approx. 1 ½ hours in duration)

Granite cliffs and sandy beaches, towering trees and rock-strewn shorelines are trademark Muskokan images. See these and much more on this sightseeing cruise. On your way down Lake Rosseau take in the rugged beauty of the local landmark “ Queens Face ”, named because of it’s resemblance to Queen Victoria as well as the former site of the Royal Muskoka Hotel, one of the grandest hotels of that era (early 1900’s) to be built in this area. As you travel north see many of Muskoka’s lovely seasonal homes, a few celebrity cottages, and the almost 9,000 square foot home located on the tip of Four Mile Point. As you make your way back home see some locally famous properties and landmarks that are known throughout the Muskoka Lakes.

 
JOSEPH RIVER CRUISE

(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday at 5:00 p.m., approx. 1 ½ hours in duration)

Here’s your chance to see it all! Experience Muskoka’s beautiful shorelines up close as you wander down the Joseph River, see the ‘elegant’ Sherwood Inn and the site of the former Elgin House - now the Lake Joseph Club, both managed by Delta Resorts. Drift under the newly restored Port Sandfield swing bridge where Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph meet. As you travel back up Lake Rosseau view the many spectacular cottages as well as the site of the old summer resort Woodington House that is now to become the home of a corporate retreat for international visitors and executives. On your last leg home catch a water view of Lakeside Lodge as well as the Clevelands House property in all its splendid glory.

PORT CARLING SHOPPING CRUISE

(Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m., approx. 3 hours in duration)

All aboard the Remedy II as it sets sail for the local shopping hub of Port Carling. Take in the beautiful shores of lake Rosseau as you head towards what many consider the shopping capital of Muskoka. This cruise takes you down to southern end of Lake Rosseau to the area of the Indian River and Armstrong Point. Take in the rugged beauty of the many islands, the Indian River as well as discovering what a “canoe cut” is. View such historical sites as the Ferndale Hotel, the Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club, and the former site of Woodington House. Next, spend two wonderful hours in picturesque Port Carling as you browse through the many unique and shops and stores. A true shopping paradise awaits you. See more of the beautiful Lake Rosseau shoreline and the seasonal homes that grace it on your way back to the resort.

SOUTH LAKE ROSSEAU CRUISE

(Monday at 10:00 a.m. & Thursday, Friday, & Saturday at 2:30 p.m., approx. 1 ½ hours in duration)

This cruise takes you down to southern end of Lake Rosseau to the area of the Indian River and Armstrong Point. Take in the rugged beauty of the many islands, the Indian River as well as discovering what a “canoe cut” is. View such historical sites as the Ferndale Hotel, the Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club, and the former site of Woodington House that is now an executive retreat owned by Magna International. See more of the beautiful Lake Rosseau shoreline and the seasonal homes that grace it on your way back to the resort.

STAR GAZING CRUISE

(Tuesday evenings at 10:30 pm, (rain day Thursday) 1-½ hours in duration)

Imagine, you and someone close to you cruising late one evening, as a warm gentle summer breeze washes over you. You are enveloped by total darkness, but feel secure in the arms of that special someone. As you gaze in to each other’s eyes you are suddenly taken aback by the one of Muskoka’s truly wonderful but seldom enjoyed spectacles – the stars! The clarity, of the constellations will move you and no doubt stir memories of days gone by or perhaps another time when you had once again slowed your pace to marvel at one of natures masterpieces. Sit back & enjoy this unique soft adventure as Captain Dan cruises the isles & inlets of Lake Rosseau. It’s an experience you’ll not soon forget.

TOBIN ISLAND CRUISE

(Monday, & Tuesday, at 2:30 a.m., Wednesday & Sunday at 10:00 a.m.,
& Thursday & Friday at 5:00 p.m., approx. 1 ½ hours in duration)

See the old and the new on this scenic cruise of Lake Rosseau and Tobin’s Island. View such interesting sights as the former location of the Royal Muskoka Hotel, a first class resort up until the early 50’s. Peruse the many summer cottages as well as the gorgeous retreat: Llanlar, owned by the Miller family from Columbus, Ohio. Cruise on by the beautiful Windermere House, known as the “Lady of the Lakes” returned to her full glory after a fire two years ago. On your last leg home you will meander through a small group of islands, the “Venetia Group” on your way back home to the resort.
