 What
is the difference between Lodge Style Rooms and Suites and Cottage
accommodation?
Answer:
The primary difference between lodge style and suite and cottage
accommodation is the suite and cottage accommodation has a living
room area separate from the bedroom area. Suite and cottage accommodation
also has a deck and a vanity area in the living room. Lodge style
(hotel style) accommodation is just one room with a bathroom,
no sitting room or living room exists with this type of room.
 What
is the difference between a one-bedroom suite and an Edgewater Beach
Bungalow?
Answer:
The main difference between a one-bedroom suite and a one-bedroom
cottage is location and groupings. Our Terrace Suites are generally
located near the water and the decks face the water. The suites
are usually grouped in series of three to five units. The Edgewater
cottages are located past our beach area and not all have a lake
view. The units are either independent cottages or are in groups
of two. They all have deck areas as well. We also have larger
independent cottages that are two and three bedrooms that are
located throughout the property.

 What
is the children's program like?
Answer:
The children's program here at Clevelands House is one of the best
programs offered in Canada . It operates daily with the exception
of Sundays and is similar to a day camp with many planned activities
such as arts and crafts, theme days, nature walks and sports
activities. The children are grouped according to age, for example
3 & 4 year olds are one group, 5 & 6 another. Our program
caters to children ages 3 to 11, teens and pre-teens, as well
as an infants and toddlers program.
The Nursery & Toddler programs run from 9:45 am to 12:30
p.m. and then from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. We have within our Toddler
area age specific toys and a small-scale climber. There are activities
for the "little ones" to do that are geared toward
their capabilities and again the toddlers are grouped together
according to age.
The regular program runs from 9:45am to 4:30pm and again from
6:15pm to 7:30pm on the nights it is offered. The children are
divided into groups according to age in the following categories:
3 / 4 yr. olds, 5 / 6 yr. olds, 7-9 yr. olds and 9-11 yr. olds.
There is a sports program offered for the older children starting
at age 7. This sports program would have a greater focus on sports
activities and less arts and crafts. Lunch is served during the
day program with menus geared towards the appetites of children.
The evening program includes dinner and a different children's
entertainer each evening it is offered.
The teen program offers various planned activities throughout
the day that the teens can join in on as they interest them.
For all activities a daily agenda is given to parents so that
if they want to meet up with their children they know where their
group will be.
 Can
I take my child out of the program during the day?
Answer:
Children can be taken in and out of the program as the parents
wish, the parents need only to sign out the child with the counsellor.
Upon registration the parents can indicate if they wish their
child to be able to come and go as they choose. A full agenda
will be given upon registration as well as general program information.

Answer:

Is babysitting available in the evening?
Answer:
Babysitting is available here at Clevelands House from our staff.
The private sitters can be arranged through the front desk at a
rate of $6.00 an hour. Hall babysitting is available each evening
free of charge in our larger standard accommodation buildings.
Hall sitting is where staff members are posted in the hallways
and watch a block of rooms at once. Parents sign in with the hall
sitter and indicate their children's names and ages and provide
a key for the room. Any special instructions regarding the children
and the destination of the parents can also be given. Generally,
it is not possible to arrange babysitting during the day as all
our staff are working and the program is operating.
Is there anything I need to bring?
Answer:

keep in their bar fridges in their room for in between meals. Some

are provided in the room) back packs or bags for the children to

and bug repellent. Our large common areas have large screen televisions
and VCRs if you wish to bring your own movies and all our televisions
can be hooked up to a VCR or video games if you wish to bring your
own for your room from home (don't forget the cables!). Beach towels
can be taken out on a daily basis from the Pro Shop without a fee,
provided that they are returned.
What is included in the room?
Answer:
Each room at Clevelands House has a cocktail refrigerator, air
conditioner, telephone and television. There is also a data jack
in every room that can be used for personal / portable computers.
The phone in your room has voicemail capabilities. The phone and
data jacks cannot be used simultaneously. All rooms have alarm
clocks and wake up calls can be arranged through the front desk.
 What is the beach like?
Answer:
Clevelands House has a large, shallow sandy beach area that is
available for all our guests. Lake Rosseau is a fresh water lake
that is ideal for swimming and is one of the three Muskoka Lakes

is often utilized by parents of small children that can only wade.
